This is a lengthy photo post due mainly to my lack of posting promptness. As time passes and my journey deepens, I will surely incorporate poetic prose into this blog. :)

i figured out that using my polarized sunglasses as a lens works quite well !
These photos were taken from an 80 acre piece of land that was donated to the Great Land Trust, my current employer, and a conservation easement is in place that will protect the land in perpetuity. These beautiful birds, sandhill cranes, started coming to the fields because the previous landowner had planted barley. When he realized that was what was attracting the birds he continued to plant barley up until his death. To date, the GLT and surrounding neighbors are continuing this management plan and have secured a wonderful home for the birds along their migration route.
this image was taken by my friend Brian Adams, a native Alaskan and amazing photographer specializing in portraiture - check out his work at: http://www.baphotos.com/

Today is the start of a wonderful thing: the ability to share my passion and experiences with others (those not wishing to use Facebook.) More to come shortly. . . !
